I go to Cape Town just to go see my parents (so I go about 2 to 3 times per year) other than that, I do like the lowveld area, it is such a pretty part of our country.

Quite difficult for me as I am not a sea person and I'm not an animal / wildlife / nature person at all.

You can put me in the city and I will be happy. Put me in the bosveld or at the sea and I will want to go home after 3 days. I'm weird like that.

I don't know where I want to go retire cause everybody is either bosveld or seaside. I'm like "nope"

we also love the South Coast, and it is usually our annual vacation destination...
mmmm, Adele I'm guessing you will continue living in the city even at retirement...and if it floats your boat, why not.
I am very much a beach person Smile

We mostly skip 1 year and then go to Namibia the next year. (I Grew up there)

Other than that we mostly don't go very far - Sabie region, Kruger, Badplaas, Hoedspruit, ATKV Eiland

Hubby's folks have time on the south coast as well as in the central drakensberg so we try go to at least one of the two each year.

I like kruger park but last went 4 years ago.

Every now and then we will do a weekend away at one of the southern sun hotels close to home using miles as a short getaway weekend.

Hubby is more of a stay home and ignore the world kinda person but I unfortunately don't really relax as I always find something that needs to be done around the house so i don't get to relax.

We try to go away twice a year in our area. Last year we did Hazyview, which I just love. This year we were planning on going to Clarens but that didn't work out due to work issues at my hubby's work (his colleague resigned and they are not replacing him so he couldn't take leave).

I still want to try Drakensberg in the winter, Clarens is still on my list too.

I don't want to set foot in the Kruger National Park but we might go some time as hubby has never been there, but as a child we would go there every single year!!
