Kids say the darnest things

Post by Honey on Wed 9 Apr 2014 - 7:48

So this is what went down this morning, (a bit TMI):

Every morning Zander and I get up, and do our bathroom stuff together.  So this morning it was my turn to wee, and just as I wiped I realised I got my period and tried to hide the toilet paper from Zander who was standing in front of me talking my ear off.  Typical 5 year old he spotted it faster than I could chuck it in the toilet, and this was the conversation:

Z:  BLOEI JOU SNYSIE (word MIL taught him)...eyes big as saucers

M: Nee dit doen nie.  (Trying to avoid the conversation)

Z:  Maar ek het gesien

M:  Moenie worry daaroor nie dis grootmens dinge.

So he leaves it there, but i had a feeling that was not the end of it.

Get to school, puts his bag down, turns around and suddenly his nose starts gushing blood.  He is used to this happening now so he immediately runs to the reception room for tissues.  Keep in mind that this room is filled with teachers, kids and parents in various stages of coming and going.  So his teacher picks him up and puts him on the counter to help him with his nose bleed and tells him he is a big boy for not crying when his nose bleeds.  To wich he replies, clear and loud for the entire world to hear:

"MY MAMMA SE SNYSIE HET VANOGGEND GEBLOEI EN SY HET OOK NIE GEHUIL NIE‼"

D told his teacher that "Mom said if Dad washes the dishes he can have pasta - Nookie pasta... but he doesn't know why Dad would want pasta when we just ate dinner.

(he got Gnocchi and Nooki confused)
