What do you do with your kidlet's artwork

Post by Honey on Wed 2 Oct 2013 - 13:38

So once again i am finding myself packing up to move house. The place we moving back to is smaller than this one so I'm trying to get rid of all the stuff we wont need.

My one dilemma though is Zander's artwork from school. I have files upon files of the stuff and it takes up alot of space. I cant bring myself to throw it away either. I then tried picking "my favourites" but its so hard to choose! Hubby suggested scanning it in but that wont be same?

No No

I have saved my favourites and with much sadness thrown some away. I dont keep any of the bits that have noddles or rice or sand or whatever stuck on them. I also dont keep the 3D types made with boxes toilet rolls and stuff.

A lot of cameron's artwork is stuck on my wall in my office - I know it can look a bit untidy but I love my office, it looks like a colourful nursery school classroom. Some is in my office cupboard.

But now Nicholas is bringing artwork home and I dont have enough wall space. Plus cameron has received a number of certificates which I want to put on the wall in my office. So I am also looking for a solution.

I will try your idea Lilly!

I have storage boxes for the boys and I keep all the special stuff in there, I also throw away the 3D stuff. The app works really well and you have a folder for each child and it keeps track of their age/grade and also the date

Laminate them and use them as placemats

I have seen on FB that Photo2print had an awesome idea. Make a photobook of it!

yup I agree lillian I think the book idea is great. But I am fussy I dont see the need for all the art that was clearly mostly done by the teachers I prefer thier own stuff.
