Re: Anyone with a 7 month old?
at 7 months my one took milk (actually she still takes the same now as then -9 months now)
Mornings at 6:00 - 120ml milk
At school at 9:00- 120ml milk & 3 teaspoons of cereal & 3 teaspoons of fruit puree
Another 2 x 180ml of milk during the day at school and at lunch time they give her vegetable puree
At night she had puree again and another 180 ml milk before bed - nothing during the night
Genna was slow on eating pieces of food at supper time so I gave her her puree and then when we had supper I put her with us at the table and gave her bread fingers, rice or pieces of whatever vegetables was on my plate

Re: Anyone with a 7 month old?
Hello guys - Im gonna join in here...
Annabelle is going to be 9 months next week.
We started giving her mashed pumpkin and mashed sweet potatoe ... then hubby started getting creative and we do different mixes
Sweet potatoe, chicken and pumpkin,
Rice and mince,
Mince and sweetcorn
Chicken, baby marrow and potatoe
Chicken, pumpkin and potatoe
Etc ...
Sweet mixes -
apple and pear
apple and strawberries
Peaches and apple
plain apple
plain pear etc ...
Just mixes of whatever we think she will enjoy .... we have not given any fish. Doc told us we couldent give these 4 things until she was 1 year old (Peanut butter, fish, whole mik and eggs)
Her schedule is more or less like this:
6.30am - Isolmil milk (between 120 and 180ml - whatever she wants)
8.30 am - Cerelac
SOMETIMES (she asks for it) - 80 - 120ml milk
12pm - Veggie mix as starter and fruit mix as dessert
1.30pm - Denino Youhurt OR half a banana
15.30pm - 80 - 120ml milk
7.30pm - 120 - 180 ml milk
In between we give her little bits of what we are eating (toast, cheese, flings etc) as well as water and rooibos tea.
She loves food - she should be drinking more milk but she doesnt want to - we basically feed on demand - what she wants to finishe she does - what she doesnt she doesnt have to.

Re: Anyone with a 7 month old?
I have given Genna fish and eggs (no peanuts, no strawberries, no citrus). (in all the books I have they said it is ok from 9 months) - fish just not more than twice a week
Well she only had egg whites before and then Saturday she pigged out on a piece of quiche (egg and beacon), I could not take it away from her she enjoyed it so much!!! seeing that she gets no sweeties or cake or chipies or anthing that are nice

Re: Anyone with a 7 month old?
Hahaha Alleycat - Annabelle has had Ice cream, chomp, she eats Flings like it is going out of fashion - and Sunday we had a birthday party and I gave her a marshmallow - she ate 2 in total. I know sweets are bad so we give her chomp only once a week (If that) and the other sweeties at parties. Flings is the only thing we give her as a snack (I must be honest - she has at least 2 chippies a day) .... OH and she had a marshmellow Ice cream sweet at another birthday party (2 weeks ago)
Oh - and she loves Marie biscuits - we give her that as a snack too - the small ones - man - I know I shouldnt hahaha - but she eats maybe 3 every now and then (one day yes, one day no)
Im just following what my doc told me (with regards to the 4 things) because Annabelle was on NAN and we had to swop to Soy (Isomil) cos she was getting cramps and we thought she may be allergic to milk - but I dont think she is - she eats yoghurt and cerelac - no problem.
P.S. I justo love Genevieve (spelling
) Love that you call her Gena - she is just TOOO CUTE!!!!!!!

Re: Anyone with a 7 month old?
I am currently watching Pretty Little Lairs and the blind girl's name are Genna, so weird coz this Genna not such a good girl
Also give her marie biscuits, one a day and then I got some frozen yogurt (mango) as her pudding, she loves it and I want to believe that it is better than giving other stuff.
I was told that it is better to give them cheese curls than flings as flings got a lot of salt in so I rather give her two or three when we at parties
I got woolies Lamb Casserole over the weekend for her and she polished every last drop, she loved it!!! So this mamma needs to go look for new recipes as it would seem see getting bored with my current purees

I give her the big ones, easier for her to hold. The frozen yogurt I get from a little factory shop close to my mom, not sure what brand it is, very nice

Re: Anyone with a 7 month old?
Sometimes I give Annabelle Cerelac at night - but she usually asks for it (wont drink her milk so I make the cerelac)
Im just following what our Paed and nurse is telling us - when I go for her 9 month vaccines Il get more tips - I know she should be eating, but her milk is still very important - and because she isnt really drinking the amount she should (should be 750ml a day ... she gets in between 500ml and 600ml) I try to get in as much as possible.
I give Annabelle the small marie biscuits - she puts the whole one in her mouth and waits for it to get soft then she chews it and swallows. SO CUTE!!!
Ai Alley ... I guess people will tell you different things - I was told not to give Cheese curls but rather Flings (tartrazine?)
I dont think there is a right or wrong as every child is different.
When do they start eating with us? I know we have to wait for teeth - she has 3 bottom ones and no top ones ... so if the tops ones come out late she eats later??
