Bit pissed off with the scale

So since finishing my Slender Wonder injections on the 5th of March I have managed to keep all the weight off and even lose some more. I stick to the plan in the week and on the weekend give myself a little treat. It's been going well til this week....

My weight fluctuates between 61.5 and 62.5. BUT this past week i have gone up to 64 in a week!

I have joined a PT / bootcamp class three times a week about a month ago. It is different everytime - skipping, crunches, squats etc but always a lot of running. yesterday I ran 7kms...

So my husband is trying to tell me that the weight gain could be muscle gain and muscle weighs more than fat. But I dont buy that. I have been doing PT classes for a month and only now my weight has shot up. Last week Wednesday I was 61.5, today 64...

I also have my period at the moment. But since I have been on Slender Wonder, I havent really had weight gain over my period.

Do you think this is the start of an upward trend - my body fighting to be at a weight it wants to be at and not the weight I want it to be at?

Or could it be the exercise or could it be the period.

I am feeling so disheartened about it. But I am just LOVING running again. and the way this coach does it is so lekker. I cant believe that I have gone from running zilch to easily running 7kms in just a month. So I am not going to quit the running. I just feel peeved that I can be trying so hard yet gaining weight.

Gabby, I honestly think it's the combination of both.

I stabilised on Monday and I am currently 2,4kg's heavier than Monday. BUT, I know it's adjustment time for me and I haven't taken a run since last week. I am also on my period. And I am retaining water...

Maybe do a 3 day Go Moderate? Or go for a booster injection (he said it was about R100 for a booster if you feel you need to)

I do find I loose cm's when running and the weight slows down. Maybe measure yourself? I do that, it's the only thing that keeps me sane, knowing I am still loosing OR remaining the same.

Ok so you have also gained. Maybe it is the period thing then?

I had a tape measure but like so many things when you live with kids, it has disappeared. I will get one today and start measuring. Maybe it is like you say a combination of the period and the exercise.

Ag it is just disheartening though

I know exactly how you feel. But once I measure and see it's either less or still the same, I at least know the gain is from something else...
