dressing baby in winter

Post by Mandy-Leigh on Thu 9 May 2013 - 10:28

Mommys please help me. How do i dress my baby warmly enough in winter. The days are a bit chilly now and I am already dressing her in a long sleeve vest, long sleeve top, and the a jacket or jersey over that. It's going to get much colder and I dont know what I am really going to add to get her even warmer. She goes to a daycare so she mut have layers on which they can remove if need be and also an extra outfit in the bag at all times. I am not for dressing her in those long fleece babygrows as that is what she sleeps in and I feel like I am sending her to school in her pajamas if I do that? Ehat do you do? and how do we know they are warm enough? I am actually terrified of this winter because she already has a cold, which wont seem to go away and I CANNOT for the life of me ge the Zinnat Anti-biotic down her troat without her puking the whole contents of her stomach out.

She is currently on Wellkid Baby vitamins because it also contains te Omega 3&6 and Zinplex Junior. Maybe I shoud change to Creche guard but I've heard such good things about the Wellkid.

I must say when my boys were just over a year old, myself and dh had a terrible flu, but my boys were fine. I was really impressed as the boys were sleeping with me and they never got sick, but i suppose any vitamin will be a help for the little ones.

I just layer, so they can take it off as it gets warmer.

I normally do a short sleeve vest (not a body vest), then long sleeve body vest, tights, socks, pants, long sleeve shirt, jacket, scarf, beanie...

I also find it hard to dress the boys this time of year, because early morning its freezing and round 11 its hot and they play outside and they sweat and then they get sick!

I dress the boys in tracksuits with long sleeve T shirts, they can take their tops off if they want. On colder days, vests and extra jacket.

W is also sick, thick yellow snot and a wet cough and lots of puking due to the phlegm. I got stuff at the chemist and I am going to first try and treat it at home. D is still fine, I just have watch closely for croup that in turn leads to asthma attacks. HATE winter!!!!!

Shame ML I am sure the day care will heat the rooms so you dont have to make her michelin man.

there are other anti-biotics so just tell your porblems next time she needs them.

I am pleasantly surpirsed with the results I am getting from a homeopathic cough syrup. It is also a mucolytic and although we are blowing noses 1000 000 times a day no infections yet. tough wood.
