Hi-Jacking and breast feeding

Post by Kirsten on Thu 9 May 2013 - 10:25

My ubby was hi-jacked and attacked in our driveway on Saturday night. Thankfully he is alive, he did get hurt but he is alive. I never want anyone to ever experience hearing your husband scream for help while you are in the house with your 3 month old and a guy trying to get into the house. Anyway don’t want to talk about it!

My Q is, I couldn’t handle breast feeding and all this extra stress so I contacted my gynea to stop BF and she sent me a script. My boobs feel like they are a bit full but I have been told not to express, do they ease up?
I gather my period is going to start now that I have stopped BF, how long does it take to start?

Shame Kirsten, hoping you all recover from the shock soon. I remember after the accident, my milk just dried up, one shot. With Joshua though, I took some tabs and didn't express for about a week before it eased.

Best of luck to you!

Oh Kirsten, I can only imagine how traumatic it must have been for you and your husband! Thank God you are okay. Have you considered going for trauma counseling?

Have you tried putting cold cabbage leaves on your breasts that usually helps for painful breasts.

@ Monz, same happened to my mom, she was taking my sisters for a walk, E was about 3 years old and C about 2 months or so and E broke loose and ran into on coming traffic and I mom had to get her out of the road and the pram fell over with C in it.

Dis eintlik skrikwekkend...

Nope. Ek't so vir 'n week nog in die aande net probeer dat sy voed, want albei my borspompe het ook gebreek in die ongeluk so ek kon nie meer deur die dag by die werk vir haar uitmelk nie. Daar het net mooi niks uitgekom nie. Ek't net gestop en dit was dit. Dit is, dis net so scary soms as ek terug dink...

Ongeluk is seker my grootste vrees!!

Thanks ladies.
Things are much better now.
No more milk, I do miss it but with counselling and a history of depression they have put me on anti D's and anti anxiety pills which I cant take with BF anyway.

we are doing much better this side and trying to get on with life.
