Mmmmmmm, they never told me that... If it's like that, I am guessing another 6 weeks + 2 weeks will do. I gave a goal weight, but I think I am going a bit low. I promised DH that once he says it's enough, I'll stop and stabilise from there. I don't want to be "too" skinny...

Sash, you did it for 3 months, how did it work for you, I think you mentioned that you never did GM?

I'm confused reading your posts above...I used the injections for the full 12 week period (July, Aug & Sept). Then only the lipo lean drops and stabilisation diet for another month (Sept). I only started gaining when I pigged out over Christmas....
I never knew about the booster injection or PLA.

This time I'm only doing it for 1 month, if not at goal by end of the month then so be it. I can't spend another R2000 on 4 or 5 kg's.

I will continue with the Simeon B meal plan and lipo lean drops during the week and relax a bit over weekends but be strict on myself so that I don’t gain anything. IF I gain 1 or so over a wknd I'll work it off before the next weekend starts.

At the end of the day Slender Wonder is a weight loss program, not a lifestyle, I won’t be able to keep it up but I will make the necessary changes to my lifestyle to prevent myself from going back to where I come from.

Seems everyone has a slightly different approach? Regardless, I pay the same now per month until I am at goal, whether it be PLA and Go Moderate or Injections and Simeon B. Will be interesting to see though what I get with the next round. Now I am curious... I must say, if for the same price, I quite like the idea of 6 weeks jabs, 2 weeks break, just to get to goal faster...

The way they explained and I understood (my clinic) I do injections for 6 weeks, (I get a booster shot every 4 weeks and full supplement bag - I didn't even know of the 1/2 size shake you mentioned before) Then I switch to PLA and GM until I reach my goal. Stabilise for a month and maintain for a year, with a booster injection every 3 months. (They never mentioned the drops to me, so again, they might not recommend it? But I'd like to try it anyway. Unless that only comes on stabilisation, will have to wait and see??)

It's definitely about lifestyle change and adjustment Sash, I agree, this program already instilled the "tools" to know when to stop and when to let go a bit. It's like there is the little voice telling you how much and what you should and shouldn't (in a good way, a way I feel I can continue with) Now we just implement it.

The 450g shakes are all 'limited edition' flavours like tropical and cookies & cream etc. I prefer the smaller one to keep at the office and then the normal size at home. I'm also going to bring 1 of each AM tablets to the office because I also forgot to take mine this morning.

I will also buy CLA & omega oils from dischem next month, it's a lot cheaper.

You are right about that, some of these can be replaced with other brands (I'll also do that) and they are cheaper. CLA at Dischem is VERY cheap now for the combined pack.

Mmmm, I must ask about the smaller ones, this big one is a schlep to carry to work everyday.

I am still sitting on the same weight that I was on Monday. But I seem to do that. The weight loss sticks for a bit then suddenly I have a biog drop.

I agree Monz, I also dont want to be skinny. I think it is important to have a sustainable weight. I dont see the point of paying for more injections to lose another 4kgs only to gain it back because it is not sustainable.

it does seem like all these doctors have different approaches. My doctor seems to work like my friend's doctor - 6 weeks on, 2 weeks off, 6 weeks on and 2 weeks off til goal. However her doctor bills for stuff separately and not a lump sum so she can see what everything costs - like the injections and supplements etc.

Lipo lite is optional. PLA comes with go moderate and stabilisation along with the other supplements. PLA is a fat burner and the lip lite drops help with appetite and fat burning... Well that's what my doctr says.

I also get the booster injections every 2 weeks.

I still feel like I am being ripped off but anyway. I see you can order the supplements online plus I found another 2 doctors in my area that do Slender so I will phone and ask their pricing...

Gabs, I have looked at the online ordering and I can only see the Recipe book and the energy/snack bars?

Kg's also going slow this side, I am on -13kg now, I really really wanted to be at -16kg's come the 18th of March, seems I just won't make it, but I'll push as hard as I can. I suppose you have your ups and downs, at least I am still losing, which is the main thing.

The exercise does help a lot though, weight might be slow (on average I am down -200g per day now), but I am down 10cm's around my waist in total, which is great!

Gabby, won't hurt to find out what the others ask, I think some just go overboard.

Hi Sindy, I lost 21,1kg's in just about 4 months. I am still maintaining and have lost a total of 23,5kg's. (I think my body has reached it's plateau for now. I don't expect to loose much more until I start seriously jogging again - too dark too early at night now for me to go)

I went to the Life medi-centre in Silverlakes.

Re: Slender Wonder round 2...

Hi Sindy, it is a fantastic diet and it will change your life. I have lost 10kgs so far. I went off the injections on the 5th of March (did a six week cycle of them). I lost 7 or so kgs in that time. Since then I have lost the other 3kgs.

I stick to the plan for the most part in the week and over weekends I eat what I like within reason ie. A hamburger one day and chocolate cake the next day but not three burgers and cake in one day if you know what I mean. I just feel like I spent so much money losing the weight and I worked hard. I didnt do it as a temporary thing and so if I want to keep the weight off, I must accept that I cant eat like a pig all the time.

I have watched my naturally thin friends and they dont eat heavy amounts of food all the time. I dont care what anyone says but it is rare that you will find someone who can eat whatever they want all the time and not gain weight. It has to be a mindset and this is the first diet that ha made me realise that. As you get older, you cannot expect to be able to eat copious amounts of food and not gain weight.

So... essentially I have accepted that I will have to watch what I eat most of the time. and I am finally fine with that because I am happy with my weight after many years of being unhappy with it.
