Might be PMS Gabs, I get on the scale every day (don't care what anyone says wink ) and my weight is not dropping like it did last week cause AF started. Also feel more bloated.

So don't let it bother you too much!

I feel your pain, Gabs! I weighed on Saturday and actually picked up 400g, even though I was so bloody good last week. Soooo disappointing! I'm also blaming hormones, although there's no sign of AF arriving again anytime within the next 100 years (apart from being as grumpy as all hell...).

You are aware that as you loose weight you need to re adjust your calorie needs?

If you want me to work it out for you - send me your weight, height and age...

3500 calories are equal to roughly 500 g's - so to loose half a kg you need to cut out 3500 calories. If you want to loose 500g's in a week you need to cut 500 calories a day - it sounds like a lot but if you make "good choices" i.e no sugar in coffee and switch all your full cream products to fat free - you'll start seeing changes.

The thing is that with the diet I have got, the nutritionist said not to cut anything out because it is already a stringent diet. So I dont want to take more calories away for fear that my body will go into "starvation mode".

I definitely think it might be PMS at play...my boobs are sore today

It's no bloody wonder everyone battles so to lose weight! According to SureSlim, if you do drink milk, it has to be full cream (apparently fat free has too much sugar or something). Other dairy products fat free, though, but it confuses the hell out of me, because no two dieticians say the same thing!!

It's true hey Karien. No consistency.

Well we have always drank long life low fat milk in our house. Dont like fresh milk - it tastes weird... and thinking of drnking full cream fresh milk makes me gag!

We also only eat butter not marg. But on my diet I can choose between marg and butter but if I choose butter it is half the amount that I am allowed of marg. which is fine.

But I made a roast the other night and was too lazy to make my veg separate and so I had roasted baby marrows and pumpkin which of course meant I probably went way over my allotment on oil!!!

So I guess I havent been all that good this week so perhaps I deserve the weight gain...

but I definitely have PMS... I am just a little bit grumpy *understatement*

there are a lot of different opinions - the low fat milk switch makes a big difference, i've made small changes - like no sugar and only fat free milk, eaten off a small plate and i'm down 3.4 kgs in 2 weeks so it must be working.

I have smaller portions and weigh EVERYTHING... and document every morsel of food I put into my mouth... I still have chocolate, wine and even had a chocolate milkshake the other day.

Sorry gabs...

I get weighed each morning on the Wii Fit, but I try to focus on my weekly losses or gains instead of daily ones, they just drive you insane.

Let's hope the rest of the week is fruitful!
