Meds sticky
Alot of questions is regarding what meds etc we recommend? Could we maybe make a meds sticky where people can put their suggestions etc and ask questions?

I think this is dangerous. We are not doctors and we cannot "prescrib" or recommend meds to other mothers. we don't know their childs history and blaa blaa blaa. Somewhere it has be be made clear that this sticky would be what's worked for other moms and not what they suggest you give to your child. Always consult your doctor or pharmacist first.

this sticky might help with regards to common colds, cough and moderate pain and fever, but I agree that a dr or pharmacist should always be consulted when it comes to meds, the prescribed dose on the bottle is just a guideline and physician adjust medication according to weight and age.

1. I find Sister Lilians "Tonsilyte sugar pills " help when the boys have psot nasal drip to prevent tonsilytis>
2. Calpol (your dose) 4hours Neurophen 4hours Calpol for severe pain and fever works wonders
3. Bee Natural balm - for excema, rashes, cuts, dry skin. heals evrything.

Septogaurd is natural antibiotic, started using for D 3days ago for and the the yucky thick yellow snots are almost completely gone. Its for upper and lower respiratory infections and also urinary tract infections.

I use olbas for colds and stuff nose but i dont put on her skin only clothes.

I hear you Haze and i agree. Just wanted it to be put out there for those ladies who will just give a child x and maybe the child is allergic to it or something.

nasty barking/ bronchitis cough, nebulize with 1x pulmicort & 1x atrovent mixed together! AMAZINGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG combo!!!

Tarryn, I have an alpha parm one, its rather noisy but does the job! I use it whenever D has cough, I bought it when D started getting croup! does wonders for coughs, tight wheezing chest. bronchitis. I paid R490, I think
